Acrylic – clearer than glass!
Acrylic (PMMA) is a material with excellent properties, such as being weather and UV proof, very stiff and with an excellent finish. In its clear form, Acrylic is known as “clearer than glass”! The material is available in a variety of colours and surfaces, many different qualities and as sheets, tubes and rods.
We can work acrylics by laser, machining or vacuum moulding, both hot and cold.
The material is also suitable for thermoforming as well as having excellent gluing properties.
We also work with several other transparent materials such as Polycarbonate (PC) and PET etc. Please contact us for advice and tips on what is best for your application.
Typical areas of use
Acrylic is used in many display products, advertising and illuminated signs. Windows for boats, in solariums and often vacuum moulded into bath tubs, shower floors and other sanitary goods.
Often also used for artwork, fittings and decorations.
